They don’t need tomato or strawberry feed because yiu don’t want flowers and fruit from your potatoes. I think the chicken manure pellets are probably enough, but if you want to give them something more I’d use a weakish solution of either of those Miracle Gro liquids.

Yes! I must look for the pink violet which I treat as a weed, I cannot get rid of it. It seeds everywhere, has no scent and is not a good colour. I might be able to find some purple violets growing in the lane. A good idea.
