I'd leave them too- they only have seed leaves, and it's very easy to damage them at that stage. They've not had enough light, hence the etiolated condition. Leaving sowing until a bit later makes...

Where have our Alliums gone?
It's the reason deer fences are the height they are. A 6 or 8 foot fence is no problem to them. We don't have thsoe muntjac ones here [fortunately] but I'd expect getting through a gap would be...

Just got back from a week away and there is horsetail everywhere, front and back, along with the UK’s largest collection of rosebay willowherb. I think I’ll turn round and leave again.

@Logan it does give me more areas to plant them out. I was amazed at the germination rate but will look at different areas to plant them out.

Funny that, never could get them growing from layers, but I can smile sweetly at them in July and August and take 'T' cuttings no problems!
