Ah that makes sense, thank you. I have actually had one in a previous garden, but didn’t recognise it. It’s in a really weedy area under a tree. I’ll need to have a go at moving it I think.

I think the caterpillars that were on mine have probably gone onto phase two, ie. chrysalis or what ever they are called, as the damage has stopped and new growth is showing.
