Raised beds idea.
If you're aiming to grow rhododendrons, you'll need to fill the raised beds with an ericaceous mix and water with rainwater. Then, you'll need to choose perennials that like acid soil.

Enjoyed an afternoon at Holkham Beach and adjoining reserve. Quite a range of birds around including sightings of spoonbills, avocets, common scoters, marsh harrier, lapwing and my first ever sighting of a bittern. Alas no photos as all were viewed through binoculars but a very pleasing to see.

Random question about cucumbers
I always start from the flower end on the principle that it doesn't matter too much if the stalk end goes soggy before I use it
Being a chicken-keeper, though, it's largely academic

Whats your weather like May 2024
Ventured out into the garden with a cuppa after work but it was a tad chilly in the breeze and out of the sunshine so a bit disappointing. Hope it’s a bit warmer tomorrow.
