@fairygirl I'm curious about where you grow your lettuce indoors as cut and come again? Do you basically treat them like a houseplant on a windowsill?

It’s quite hard to see the front plant because of the way the light is falling. Would it be possible to take another photo with a clearer image of the leaves and stems?

I probably would have pulled it out by now.

I reckon it's due to the weather. It's been a lot cooler this year so things like courgettes are suffering. My pumpkins and courgettes are the same.

This is what I would do as well. It can be done quickly and without too much effort.

Hello all. I went to Gardeners World live show yesterday it was a lovely day but my favourite bit was the stall promoting Wool Pots. Not heard of them before but what a good idea! The people at the stall were replacing the plastic pots of plants bought at the show with wool pots free of charge....

So it stays in the two pots all season, I was thinking it was a stop gap idea because it was too cold to plant out but needed potting on.

Thank you @Grannybee that is reassuring Despite completing the RHS Level 2 Diploma, I did the practical Course at Hever Castle, so only had practice at pruning roses and buddleji, so everything else is a bit scary, as I can be a bit heavy handed!Thanks for the responses, really helpful

I always start feeding when the flowers come, works for me. Once the flower truss shows it means the plant has switched from vegetative growth to reproduction mode.
