Did you dig for them @glosmike? I can't grow maincrops because of Colorado beetles so I usually grow Charlotte which matures fairly early and then stays in the ground after the foliage has died...

What are we doing in the garden 2024
Managed to pot on some tomato, aubergine, sweet pepper and okra seedlings before the rain arrived. Now just need to find a way to keep them watered as we're away for the whole of April!

I'd think the most important thing is to have a suitably sized pot - ie a pretty big one, or else you'd have to keep taking it out and doing some root pruning, and keeping the top reasonably well...
