What ever you decide from the above great info make sure water can drain out of the base or you will finish up with a bog garden which is great for growing Carniverous plants in.

My previous local had a beer garden with an avenue of apple trees. He pollard them every third year with no apples after pollarding but a lovely crop the year after then pollard again. It also kept his garden neat.

Not a lot at the moment; however after several cold bright days the Ricinus is unhappy as the Salvia confertiflora, but the S guaranatica are still flowering happily as are some calendula. No snowdrops yet though.

Morse was the only one I followed, but don't forget Minder with Dennis Waterman or The Sweeney with John Thaw and Dennis Waterman (probably too violent to be made or repeated these days)

Ferns are really difficult for the amateur to identify. I often end up with buying something I already have. But on the plus side, at least I know it's going to survive. Irritating all the same, though.
