@Plantminded My tree fern looks also still fine apart from two frozen fronds. Using fleece was the best ever tip!

I live in a small cul de sac and if any neighbour apart from the other half of the semi speak to me; my first thought is to think what I have done wrong recently. Couldn't tell you if any are nosey or not and certainly no phone numbers.

At school in art classes in the 1960s they used to melt old LPs with bunsen burners to make sculptures. Thick black smoke would bellow out of the windows. I later learnt that the gas given off was toxic phosgene. Yes it did stink. Oh those were the days.

Cold start, but has slowly warmed up. Went up to the greenhouse this afternoon and checked things over, things are generally alright some even still flowering. Watered as needed, then sowed seeds that need a winter cool period or just take months to germinate, but don't need heat so some crocus...

If my chillies get a bit leggy I just plant them deeper when they are potted on. They root readily from any buried leaf nodes and I don't remember ever losing one from this method. I don't use grow lights or a heat pad so I won't be starting them till next month.
