    Our NHS dentist used to do a 'scale and polish' if they thought it beneficial. Last time I went they said I might benefit from seeing the hygienist and the cost was only £70. Think I'll pass on that one. Never seen a hygienist in the past, I'm now 75 and still have both of my teeth.:biggrin:
