    Whaaattt?

I have never understood the appeal of a red velvet cake. It's just a basic, boring sponge witha smattering of cocoa powder and red food colouring.

It just looks like some die back to me. I'd prune it out although might be a bit late now as it may bleed.

    Help With Growing Seeds

I've got a few seeds just outside in pots, been there all winter, hopefully they will show around April or May, if not they will stay for at least one more winter before I give up on them.

As well as the Lonicera nitida another which may do well is Griselina - evergreen, quite fast growing and doesn't appear susceptible to disease.

Is this some sort of celandine?

@Palustris I'll wait for it to flower. It's wedged itself between a geranium and a veronica. If it behaves like the lesser jobs, it's unlikely to do any harm.

How do you tell a tic from a small spider?

I presume it was a slimey one. :biggrin:If the dog or cat is up to date with the spot on treatment the ticks should just fall off. I don't think all spot ons kill ticks though.
