Plant labels
We do the same. People are always returning our pots and labels (at our request) as we used to sell between one and two thousand pots a year.

If you did decide to remove your grass areas @machtucker, Hakonechloa makes good ground cover. I have it planted under an Acer in my lower garden shown below in summer, autumn and winter.
