Wonder if copper tape would work around the edge? I know copper tape has been used to keep slugs and snails off pots. I see they don't like citrus, perhaps paint the edges with lemon juice?

is there a reason why my Gaultheria Procumbens keeps getting dug up

While it is low growing, it's not trailing so you will have to position the basket carefully to get a good view of the red berries. It likes moist well drained soil you will have to water regularly.

    Green happy shop for seeds

Thanks for the tip. Will definitely try them next year. I usually order from Chiltern Seeds but are unhappy with the germination rate as soon as cultivars are used.

I put some of those in about three weeks ago, getting their true leaves now, I do find they need a longer growing season than the smaller types, and ripening can be slow, but worth the effort.
