Just been out and done one of those jobs I never look forward to. You know what it's like when a big patch of tall stuff collapses in on itself after heavy rain or strong winds later in the year and you wish you'd taken the trouble to put supports in early on? Well such is my 8' x 4' stand of...

    What's your weather like 2026

    Our garden sanctuary

Thank you, yes we've been here almost 5 years and the garden feels quite private now that everything is growing nicely. It also feels bigger than it is even though we've planted so much out there!...

    Plants you don't grow

I’ve gone off dahlias. Too “in your face”. Don’t like begonias as they tend to look artificial to me. Some gladioli are OK, deeper colours are better than pale.

Lack of Knowledge, trying to do a project!!

Convolvulus cneorum is a sun lover so it probably won't be happy there. And it won't take much in the way of frost, so it doesn't tend to last long in any but the mildest areas.
