Ants farming aphids on rhubarb is a new one for me. I've had them do it on broad beans but never thought to check the rhubarb. Might have a look at mine this weekend now.

Which secateurs to go for?
Felco are the most ones to go for still, just don’t have bonfires, I am not a fan of that at all - wouldn’t composting the waste be better? Sounds you have ample room!
