    What's your weather like 2026

A chilly start but I couldn’t see any frost. Forecast is sunny intervals and dry, apart from a small shower risk about 2pm.

I've just sniffed my cristata. It also has a bit of scent. And the dendrobium is definitely sweetly scented.

Bury squash stems when pricking out?

Yeah I bury them a bit if they've stretched. Not as deep as you would with tomatoes though, squash stems are thicker and seem more prone to rotting if you go too far. Just enough to steady them up.

    What’s in a name?

When I did my "O" level cookery exam I made mackerel fish cakes. The posh girl next to me did salmon ones. But mine tasted the best. Both were tinned fish.

Repotted a Wasabi and Salvia corrugata, noted that Dahlia David Howard is an ex dahlia. Need to get some more potting compost.
