Supporting Runner Beans
I must admit if the soil is so compacted that you cant get a cane in the ground then beans are going to struggle.

What should I do with this wonky apple tree?
Most gardens will have another apple nearby so pollination isn’t usually a worry, unless you are on an estate of new builds with few trees. Crab apples can also act as pollinators for apple trees

Tomatoes and Biodegradable Pots
Thanks for the advice. As recommended, I gave the pots a good soaking and then carefully peeled them off. Three days on, I have very happy tomato plants that are just starting to flower

Cucumber Issues
Yes I’ve removed a few flowers to make sure the plant will grow a bit more and it is thriving better now. I am only growing two and one is better than the other!!? so fingers crossed it will catch up.

Thin beetroots
The beetroot will swell to available space. It's good to have some growing slower than others, pick then as they reach a usable size and those left will grow on.

Just wonder if they are very shaded. They should be looking a bit bigger IMO by now. The lawn does seem to be moving in on them.
