Yeah, the Stronglodon macrobotrys is really quite a stunner. When I get a chance, I must go back sometime, but there are so many places....

Would it be easier to have a Pieris Joolz? Dunno if that has any/as good a scent though?

I can't believe you only spent half an hour in such a place, strongy ... I would have protested! That's why there are cafe's in them ... so you can wander at your leisure, stop and relax for a while, contact your friends at GC and relatives on the net and tell them all about the wonderful...

Done that before, when the kids were little we had one of those solar shower bottles on top of the caravan, it heated up during the day, you'd soap yourself up & then charge naked into it to wash the soap off before it ran out or the neighbours saw you. Was a treetree with the nettles though.

Free entry to the gardens yesterday (Heritage Open Day event). I've been through them before with somebody who worked there, but much later in the year and didn't take any pics. Managed to time it right and catch the only 45 minutes when it wasn't raining today (but still grey skies).Only...

We hope so too, Pete. The man at the nursery where we bought it last year, spoke of the old plants producing side bulbs, then dying off. Just hope that our plant knows this and has taken care of its offspring!
