    What is this?

I had something similar and when I pulled them, it turned out they originated from my over enthusiastic Rosa Rugosa.

    Are these Hosta seedlings?

I can't really tell as we now grow all ours by splitting them but from memory (not so good nowadays) I don't remember a single leaf stage . Otherwise they do look somewhat like Hostas.
