You can get rid of patches of weed grass completely by using a total kill weedkiller (Glyphosate-based). It is the only way to be sure to get rid of it. Something like roundup, resolver or other weedkiller will do the job. It will kill ALL grass though, so be careful with it. The good thing...

Looks pretty spot on. It’s caused by fungi in the genus Puccinia and is commonly known as a low nitrogen disease. An Autumn feed may help it to recover. To double check get a white cloth and rub the leaf and it should show brown marks.

Seems to work OK Adam . Its not a showpiece lawn , Molly makes sure of that ,but it looks ok with zero weeds. If you have a large lawn it may be better to just go for "green" as Shiney can get a bit pricey feeding it several times a year.

Might be worth considering changing the direction of cut; ie dont always cross in the same direction. Also try lifting the 'straws' by brushing with a medium stiff broom prior to mowing, then reduce cutting height by one notch and mowing again in the contra direction. Best to do this immediately...

that doesn't sound too bad and will not cost you an arm and a leg, first mow the lawn and the rake off the dead/cut grass off of it then using an aerator aerate and over-seed the lawn add some fertilizer and your done! now water it daily and mow at-least once a month if you don't have a mower...

NutriFlo Casting 10LI can’t comment on its performance as I’ve not tried it but on small lawns I like you tend to brush them. Iron does deter but it’s short lived and you can’t keep repeating it.

The worms are helping in the long run Pam, aerating and improving the soil. Take takemore02withit's advice. The only thing I would add is if you are using a flymo then rake up and clear away the cuttings, that will reduce their number. :thumb:

Got around to laying the cardboard, making sure it was wet and laying the Woodchip.cannot wait to see what it looks like in 18-24 months.needs to sort of the flower boarders and make sure the Woodchip does not overflow to much.
