I must get round to doing the test patch been busy and been to weymouth today

It happens mate, but in the horticultural business as well as many others, a lot of work comes from personal recommendation....the bad one's do not get that and eventually drop by the wayside. So chin up...onwards and upwards yea.:thumb:

I feel your stone pain! I recently started the task and am boring of it rapidly. Someone told me that I only need to remove anything thats the size of your fist? I have no idea how true this is as its a first for me but in the scale of things it was music to my ears.I just keep on walking...

We planted some about 7 or 8 years ago. They're about 12" apart and were about 6" high. They've filled out nice, we've kept them to about 18" high and about 12" wide.

Elliseum, please ignore the attached file on my post above, I hit a key by mistake and that came up. I've no idea how to get rid of it.

Cut mine they look ok, what I do this time of the year because the grass is always wet through rain or dew is a few hours before I plan on cutting it I drag a brush all over it this knocks the excess water drops to ground level then it makes it that bit drier cutting it later

Sorry, I'm no expert on lawns but have a number of my own that need looking after.They always look good with nice stripes on them but they are more than 50% weeds (clover, daisies, buttercups, celandine, hawks beard) and with large patches of moss.It's the mower that makes mine look good...
