New lawn being laid from seed.
Forgot to add to this thread. The soil and composting was completed last weekend and all the grass seed added too…….just have to wait now

What's happened to my new lawn?
That looks like a sun job to me...our lawn on the back garden ended up like that in the end after the dog had half ruined it besides.

Sowing grass seed - stones problem
Thanks for your replies. Well i've given it a good soaking and a rake, so i'll see how it is tomorrow and try out kristens idea to see if I can break down the lumps some more once its dried a bit.

grass seed still not growing
Shouldn't do any harm, but if its wet the soil, and grass seedlings, may stick to your boots ..... I suggest putting a board down, and working from that.

Ideas to protect my front grass
Pete, I agree. I live in a cul de sac and sometimes we can have as many as 6 or 7 vans and pickups taking up the limited parking spaces.

I replaced the topsoil in the affected areas and reseeded. I’ll update this next year when the area has gone through a full year’s cycle.Thanks again, all, for your help and interest.

Right, put some Autumn lawn feed on today (evergreen brand) after I'd cut it. It ays water in after 2 days if no rain, well I think its going to rain this week, but it does say only to start...
