Yes, I learnt the hard way with pineapple. I ended up having to repaint the ceiling in the wine making room. Twice! So now I make it in very large batches. Much easier to manage and much less mess.

Well its 9 month on and ive tried the gooseberry wine, its has a brandy and taste smell to me and seems strong,now tonight ive tried the jostaberry/gooseberry and that is nicer,sweeter,easier to drink to me

If you roll it in the clingfilm into a cylinder shape, you can freeze it and just cut as much or as little as you need.
