Thanks I have a very greedy and wily Pheasant here, so I have to wait for him to disappear before I put food down for the ground feeding birds.

What to plant around bird feeding station in the lawn?
not sure where you live? or how cold your area gets. I would plant shrubs etc that the birds can hide in and be blocked by any hard winter winds. some nice dense conifers etc. I have my...

What species of mouse?
I have slow worms on my allotment, not seen any this year yet, I dont think mice would be a match for most of the ones I have seen. Cats are the biggest problem to wildlife around here.
