    Hi, everyone
Like Steve 309 I'm seeking pastures new.
I too am retired, live in Staffordshire on the edges of the beautiful Cannock Chase.

What do I have to offer? I have a fairly good working knowledge of growing sweet peas and fruit 'n veg...I'm also a keen amateur photographer.

Just kidding. I actually got out the manual this morning and think I figured it out - er - I hope I did - guess you`ll be seeing... :heehee:

Thank you very much for your generous welcomes, folks.

I'm still finding my way around, you seem to have many more sub-sections than my previous abode.
I used to manage a 'Sweet Pea Know How' thread.....everything from growing for cut flowers to exhibition growing and all things in between, on the GW forum and would like to offer the same assistance here if required.

              Welcome to GC, David :dbgrtmb:

We talk a lot of gardening, a lot about popular non-gardening topics and a lot of rubbish :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

                Hi David,

                Welcome to Gardeners Corner :)

                :sign0016:

Obviously I can't influence the admin ( well, the odd bottle of Gin, Whisky, Rum and Wine goes down well { albeit a little too fast sometime } ), but I think a Sweet Pea thread is a good idea.

I'm growing them for the first time in about twenty years this year, so will have to see how they turn out :)

PS... Will you also cover other Lathyrus as I'm also attempting L. Tingitanus this year and i find very confusing advice on the tinternettywebbythingy about these.

                  Thanks, Anthony
No wish to turn this into a sweet pea thread, but will wish you well with this year's crop.

For me, the scent of sweet peas is one of the most important factors in choosing to grow them, so it follows (for me) that the fact that 'Tingitanus' has none would deter me from growing them.
