              Our friendly Robin was following me when I was turning the compost bin recently and helped itself to lots of goodies:)

              While weeding I disturbed a giant Privet Hawk-Moth. Well, I call it 'giant' because I've never seen any insect this big - it has a wingspan of 10cm. Very impressive indeed.

                I found these nesting on a rock in a lake. I think they're goosanders. There were six babies. :)
