I ordered a collection of 8 peonies and a collection of 6 roses from J.Parker's on 19 October. I have sent 3 emails and phoned once and heard their promises that my plants would be despatched shortly. Today is 3 December and no message when they despatch my plants.
Will I ever get my plants?

Thank you. I am so annoyed with J.Parker's that made this mistake.

@pete , look like we have put the clocks back to far
@Black Orchid , keep complaining like hell.
Feel a bit responsible on this as I praise J Parkers on bulb delivery , price and quality. Maybe one to avoid for other plant types ?

Well I've not had any dealings with Parkers for quite a few years.
Since the spring I ordered a waterlilly and finally received in september.

It's my first experience with J.Parker's. About 10 days ago I spoke to their customer service and felt relief when I was assured that I would get the plants shortly. But promises remained promises.
I think it can be different with bulbs. I also had an excellent experience with Groupon when I ordered tree lilies bulbs. But when I ordered 3 grape vines from Groupon I was upset a lot because they came in a very bad condition. I replanted them immediately. One died at once. Two others grew only about 15 and 20 cm during summer.
I think I was crazy to buy 3 tree peonies from Groupon after that. But I was assured that I would get established plants with buds and ready to flower in a short period of time. They looked miserable when they arrived without a single bud. I replanted them into much larger container but now I only hope that they will start growing properly next spring.

Buying online is always a gamble.
I only buy online if I cant find it locally.

Best to plant in the next pot size up - too larger pot and the plant develops the roots to the detriment of top growth :).

Just to be fair to Parker's I want to share my happiness with you when I got my plants from them on 4 December. Better late than never. Perhaps it was even better for me and the plants because it was +10 C outside and I planted them immediately.
A week later I became tempted again to buy tree lily bulbs expecting that they would be delivered at the end of January. But to my great surprise they were delivered 3 days later.
The bulbs looked more or less fine but they came without any labels. It is very upsetting because I bought a collection of 15 bulbs where there should be 3 of each type. I hoped to plant each set of 3 bulbs together in a separate pot but now I'll have to plant each bulb in a separate pot and surround them with either free tulips, irises or daffodils. But I am not sure if they are compatible or not.
I haven't planted them yet as it became cold again, some nights are -2 C here in Manchester.
I put the lily bulbs in a box covered with compost and keep them in my unheated hall but I am not sure that it is right for them.
Any advice or comment would be greatly appreciated.
