      Gooooooood morning fellow WW'ers :spinning:

Been up since silly o'clock to drive #2 son to work then as soon as I was home went out for a lovely long walk with Ozzy. It was raining on the drive, but misty on the walk; far better that way around than t'other :dbgrtmb:

Bought a packet of seed potatoes as the weekend (impulse buy), first earlies, with the optimistic hope they would be suitable for a pot. No, seems each one has to be spaced 45cm apart (roughly 18 inches) and as there are 8 in a packet, that would be some sized pot! Never mind, I'll have to find a piece of ground to pop them into instead ... just not sure *where* :dunno:

It is glum weather outside but inside my home is smiling; I have a couple of candles burning in the darker rooms in the house (sounds cosy and romantic, huh?) No! It is because I need them to burn down and be finished with :heehee: They are these ones:
[IMG] so, when the candle is over with, I get a glass cloche  Can you believe they were being sold at £15 each at Christmas? Fair enough, it is a robust glass item and the candle is a good size with approx. 40 hours burning time - not to mention the gorgeous scent - but not in my budget at that price. However, I managed to find them in a sale at £3.50 each  Bought four because I wanted to get something for the Garden Club and WI raffle prizes and these (I think) would make excellent raffle gifts without breaking the bank. So: one for the WI; one for the Garden Club and ... two for me! :dancy: (Does that make me sound greedy by keeping two? :heehee: ).

Smiles and vibes for all xxMxx

        Good day everyone
We actually have a sunny day today and it makes it look nice but it is very cold and predicted to be for at least 6 more weeks. Time to stay inside with a cuppa.

Well, I do have to go out and continue clearing out my friend's place but at least that is work and it keeps me warm. Also got another load of books to donate to the library. I am very pleased about the progress of the clean out.

Have a safe day everyone. :)

              Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl 3 a.m.??? That was about the time I decided to put my feet up in my armchair :noidea:

About 5 a.m. I stuck my head out of the back door and promptly brought it back in again  Fortunately, we have the sludge lorry coming tomorrow morning  :snork:

It's regular bridge club this afternoon and a bridge club 'executive committee meeting' this evening in the Indian restaurant :snorky:

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

@Zigs I'm not sure that it would be of any value but I'll make enquiries. It's possible it may be of interest but whether that would result in any money, I don't know. Do you know hwat it's made of?

                        Good day everyone
@Zigs if it's not worth anything it might be of use as a plant hanger or vine thingie?

Just finished sending the lawyer a list of what I have done for my friend's estate and advising him that I am concluding my involvement. I only have the speakers (heavy things) and a chair and small table to remove from the condo this morning. No one can find a copy of the will  and I think his brother who lives 2000 kilometers away is going to have a rough time settling the estate. :rolleyespink: Perhaps it's karma - the brother was terribly upset when I was made Power of Attorney and refused to speak to me until just before my friend died. :noidea:

                        Have a safe day everyone.:)

You two lightweights! :nonofinger: :heehee: I was up at 00:03  Wide awake and unable to get back to sleep, I got on with bits and bobs around the house, but *very* quietly :shhhh: When #1 son got up (to his alarm) at silly o'clock I was all ready and waiting for Taxi duty  Have to say it though, the driving conditions were not great and I am beginning to find it a tad stressful. Wouldn't be if other drivers would follow the rules of the road, but, I'm not in control of what they think/feel, only me. So, once I arrived back home, it was a hot bath, a restorative cuppa and then a doze in the chair to recuperate :heehee:

:grphg: Births, marriages and deaths always bring out the worst in people; such emotive times! :grphg: Well done on a difficult job; I'm sure your friend knew just what he was doing in giving you POA.

Well, having had a loooooooong day, I may just consider an early night ... (now watch life's law come into play and throw me a low baller! :heehee: )

                                Aloha everyone,

The drive back on winding country roads last night was not very pleasant, with floods everywhere.

Today they've forecast rain and we have the sludge lorry coming to drain out our cess pool :rolleyespink: I'm going to have to be outside with him for a while - not my favourite job :dunno:

On the up side, I've just received details of our next short holiday. Apart from having to be picked up at 3.25 a.m. top get us to the airport, it should be a very pleasant week.

Keep well and have a great day.

                                Aloha!
