Good morning everyone, doesn't feel very warm this morning, I am quite chilled. Probably something to do with my poor blood. Not sure if my shot kidneys are anything to do with it.

Good day everyone
I've finished the clear out at my friends and have filed the proof of death paperwork with all the various levels of government. I filled the trunk of his Cadillac with the family heirlooms and keepsakes and pictures so that they will be transported out west with the car.

I am going to have a fairly lazy day. Going to pick up a batch of wine and just generally slouch around. Such a weird feeling ..

It's been a very drab day weather wise here, but, I have noticed a few signs of life on one of the clematis I bought last year Actually, such was my joy, I made #1 son *notice* them too! He was very ... meh ... about those tiny buds but he did acknowledge that it was very *me* : "It's what you do, Mum; nurturing!"

Do, please, call me that in the sight and hearing of my boys

It's all about "perception" my friend ... as Mrs W has known you longer, she has a comparison; I do not

Don't drink the whole batch at once, but, do enjoy some "me" time, you deserve it! Well done on all of your hard work (both physically and emotionally) and the pragmatic approach which you have focused on. Now ... breathe!

Son is off out this evening for yet another "Management" evening ... ... they do seem to have a regular set of these, at least fortnightly they are off out for a meal and/or get to together! Actually, this one is a "good one" because ... it is such a lovely venue, he is thinking of taking me there as my "promised" birthday treat (he had no money at the time, so my gift was a promise to be redeemed when he was working). Have to say, the menu does sound rather scrummy! Still, he's waiting to sample the goods before he commits himself to taking me there

I'm still working on my draft letter to the council to object to a planning permission application. I'm only going to get one go at it and I need to be certain I get my objections down in an unemotional, factual way. Trouble is, I'm finding it a tad stressful The nature of the beast is casting me back to a place in time I would much rather not face a repeat of and that is making me waffle when I should be *focused*! I'm sure I'll get there though. I keep re-reading my draft, deleting a bit, adding a bit, deleting another bit, adding some more and ... going around in circles How dare my parents no longer be around to proof read and offer direction! I became aware last weekend just how many years had gone by since my mother passed from this earth. Where does that time go!!?

I am sat here with a cuppa and hoping that by the time I finish it, I will have found some get up and go in order to start cleaning up my messy house.

The temperature outside has already risen to 14.7F but it looks to being a cloudy day and won't be getting much warmer. Good timing for needing to be inside.
