It is a small notch above freezing right now. Wish I could make frost free days arrive sooner but that's part of being a Canuck. Wanting to rush into every season

The skies are clear right now so the sun will quickly heat up the little unheated greenhouses. My oldest son popped by yesterday and was proudly showing me the raised gardens he's built and the tomato and cucumber plants he'd grown from seed. In the gardens. So when it was time for him to leave I ushered him out the door with bags full of hoops, plastic and frost cloth. And also advised him to cover them up and do so at night for the next few weeks. He did a fantastic job of building the gardens and I am very proud that I have passed on the gardening bug to him

I've got loads to do today. As you know, we have lower electricity rates on weekends and holidays so today is the start of a bonus three day weekend to get vacuuming and other high consumption jobs done.

It's going to be a sunny day so I shall need to get going on these inside chores and then be able to be outside for the afternoon.

There doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day for me at the moment....I'm exhausted, far too much time being spent working , doing boring paperwork, keeping up with admin duties on the hen forum etc etc, but the good news is I've had some work done in the garden , some friends of mine were looking to promote their business & wanted to do a job & take before, during & after photos , I was more than happy to help them, I gave them lunch everyday, as much tea, coffee & biscuits as they wanted & hey presto the job is done , I will post some photos when I get time.

@CanadianLori I'm sorry you can't make shineyland....maybe next year? @moyra are you coming to Shineyland this year?
