@shiney it is To Your Scattered Bodies Go - a Riverworld book. I flip between the newer SciFi's and good old Jules Verne. :)

@CanadianLori I prefer Robert A. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Eric Frank Russell, Arthur C. Clarke, Larry Niven, Poul Anderson, Frederik Pohl, Brian Alldis, Philip K Dick, Alfred Bester, amongst many others. :dbgrtmb:

I haven't read any Bester. I should re-visit the others. It's been years since I let them entertain me. I like the way Asimov tucks in little bits which reveal his sense of humour. :)

            Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl I've never thought about locks on the internal doors  as we never lock any (we hardly ever close any - apart from the loo :snork:).

Mrs Shiney's car didn't pass its MOT (getting it ready for its new owner) but only failed on one tyre and a small part that needs changing. I phoned the purchaser and told him that he would need to pay for the new part and a new tyre. He agreed that I should get the part replaced for him (£50) but he would get a secondhand tyre from someone he knows. That will be his problem and not ours and I told him that he would need to get it seen by the garage within the next ten days in order for him to get the Pass Certificate without extra charge. The old MOT runs until July anyway so he hasn't any worries.

Some people came round to buy some plants (people want to get in before the plants go on sale at Open Day) and we ended up going out to a pub lunch with them. A very pleasant afternoon.

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

              Good day
We are on day two of a forecast 10 day run of cloudy cool weather. Certainly a good time to tend to inside jobs.

I have a sales call to make this morning. It will probably end up being mostly charity on my part so I will consider it my good deed for the day. My DIL tells me I must have a huge amount in my karma bank. Sweet of her to say this :snorky:

Have a safe and warm day :)

                Aloha everyone,

New car being delivered on Monday. Then I'll have to spend a few hours reading the handbook (yes, I really do read the handbook :snork:) and try and teach Mrs Shiney all about the new fangled gizmos on the car. :rolleyespink:

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                        Good day everyone
@moyra I have done that so many times. Typed out my greeting and then didn't hit the post reply

@shiney where is that "astonished" rating button when I need it! I drove my car for over 2 years before I noticed I had a cd player, and my loose change cup, it turns out that for some reason I got a free "smokers package" option  and I'm pretty sure the manual is in the glove box, along with a pair of gloves. I really do have gloves in the glove box :heehee:

They have changed the forecast. We are still not warm but the clouds are going to break up now and again and allow the sun to shine through. With that in mind, I am racing to get my inside work done and be ready to go out to play when the sun shines :)

Have a safe and warm day!

That's a riot. Well, my car is 17 this year. It was my first sporty sorta card and I've always called it my "Barbie Menopause" car. :)
