    hello!

I bought a bare-root rose from a bargain shop a couple of years ago, and this is the first year it has flowered. However, it is definitely not what I thought it was - the packet was "Rosa Kronenbourg" which is a yellow flower with some red on it, and the "classic" rose flower shape. Definitely not what has grown!! :yikes:

This is not a great picture - the flower is red bordering on pink, and is a wild-rose shape in the flower. Would anyone be able to provide a vague ID for this? Thank you very much in advance! :):spinning:

Thank you very much for the info, @wiseowl - I am quite confuddled by it in any case, as there seems to be no yellow on the petals at all - not even on the reverse! There is a tiny splodge of white in the middle of the flower where the stamen are. Is it the case where this rose could be coloured different ways due to the soil it grows in, or what it is fed with?

I will keep a close eye on further blooms too!

Heehee! Oh, @wiseowl I knew I was taking a massive leap of bargain-bin faith when purchasing it, last year it grew leaves but did not bloom at all! Hence why I thought it might have been a completely different rose. There is quite a lot of variation there between the different pictures (i must admit to having google-imaged a bit as well!). Thank you very much for the information in the first place and the variety of pictures, too! It is still a lovely bloom!
