I am Zec, I live in Southchurch just outside of Southend on Sea, Essex.
I learnt about plants and gardening from my mum who always has had amazing gardens.
I am a wheelchair user but I still manage to weed the border, bum shuffling along leaving a pile of weeds in my wake for my wife to put in the bin.
Our garden is about 100' by 40' and was mainly lawn, but we now have a nice big border and quite a few around the garden.
The only one that is a problem is the Olearia which this year flowered but the leaves have died back. It does have some new shoots appearing at the base though, so unsure what to do!

Hi @Zec Richardson :sign0016: to the forum. We used to grow Olearia Haastii at the nursery - and the daisy bush is a good one for hot spots - a lovely plant with it`s white daisy flowers and silver leaves. As yours has already flowered, I would chop the tops off now if I were you, and then the plant will put all it`s efforts into producing the nice new shoots.

Thank you, here are a couple of photos of the garden and one of the offending Olearia.
It is throwing out new growth at the base and so I think it is a case of cutting it right back!

I would love to do more but I am limited due to being in a wheelchair.
The lawn is so uneven and its a hard push up the garden but it is good exercise!

Have you considered an electric scooter for out side the ones with large wheels that can take the tread of grass.
