    Hi everyone,

After Christmas we will be taking over a very large walled kitchen garden, it's massive you could build a house on the site, that's if the owner wasn't looking. :loll:

I'm ok as a newbie grower but want to better it, so stand by for loads of questions. I would be happy to grow things that I've never even thought about before.

There's a large lean-to glasshouse on the top wall, don't know what it's like at the moment, it looked ok from where we were standing.
All we need to do now is wait until Jan 2019.

What a wonderful welcome from you guys & gals. :blue thumb: thanks. Like I said we can't get stuck in at the moment the outgoing guy leaves at the end of Jan 19....there's an old asparagus bed that looks in a bad way, so I'm going to plant a new one in a different corner.

I would have loved to be able to get that done now but alas I'll have to wait. I'm now thinking about where to start, what should I be looking at to buy now (seed wise) to have everything ready to get stuck in.

Suppose it depends what you fancy growing  I wouldn`t be in a hurry to buy seeds at the moment, it is always best to buy new season`s stock for best germination results. Will you have use of a heat mat/propagator ?

                    I'll have a small propagator.

Just an update on the plot, we went today and I manage to photograph it and pace it. The first photo is around 18 yards square. The second one is a little smaller at 15 yards square. I can't wait to get started, but it will be Feb at the earliest.

Thanks, Shiney, sorry not been around much at the moment, what with work, starting to pack some of the smaller items that we will not need until the house move the end of Jan.
The craziness of Xmas and the new year are almost on us all, we were out last evening for a works Christmas meal. Friends around tonight for a 4-course meal, out on Christmas Eve and day, where will all this madness end??:hapydancsmil:

I did get time last Tue to visit the garden and check out the greenhouse, it will need some TLC, 4 large panes of glass, and maybe a little bit of woodwork replacing. The previous guy has left a very nice weed free ground, along with two rows of beetroot

All we have to do now is wait until we move and I can get stuck in, along with a compleat new kitchen rebuild, painting, re-laying slabs and many other jobs around the bungalow.

Stand by for many many questions.

                            BJ.
