Will the fuschias in my hanging baskets come back next year?

depends how frost hardy they are plus check for vine weevil now. If they show green shoots you will need to dig them up & replant them in fresh compost , I think they run out of vigour 2nd year growing in pots and hanging baskets and you are best taking cuttings and starting afresh ...

Two of our fuchsias (bedding out types) have suddenly and I mean sudden, like over three days, dropped all their leaves. No sign of insect pests and no rust on the fallen leaves. No withering or anything, just the leaves fell off. Any ideas?

It could be uneven watering, if the soil had dried out and you heavily watered them that can cause leaf drop, they should recover.

Could it be fuschia gall mite Palustris?
It has been decimating fuschias nationwide over the past couple of years

One of the Fuchsias was in a tub, the other out in the garden. The one in the garden was not watered at all.
There are none of the symptoms of Gall mite, no distortion of leaves or anything, they just drop off, still dark green and healthy looking.

Had a sudden flashback. The Fuchsias which have lost their leaves (now probably dead) had bad aphid infections which were sprayed with insecticide. Wondering if Fuchsias are damaged by pesticides.

I think only if it was made too strong or you sprayed when it was sunny and it burnt the leaves.
