This is our latest addition. As yet unsexed so unnamed. It's a boa constrictor. It's still a cute little baby :wub2:
I've been assured by its daddy that the pair of them will have moved out by the time it's 8 foot long :phew:

@CanadianLori , we have 3 corn snakes, each belongs to my 3 eldest sons. The boa is my eldests lastest pet. He said, he and the boa and his corn will move out before I need to think about converting a room for it :)
I do love snakes so I don't mind.
The only problem is, the way this country is headed, he'll be living with me until he retires :heehee: :rolleyespink:

He is SO cute @Linz. The only thing with these critters is that they don't live very long. :frown:

I'm surprised he's lasted this long tbh. He's escaped the cage twice (pushed his water bottle out and squeezed through the gap) and managed to keep out of the way of 3 cats! :ouch1:

Maya, biscuit and willow look like they rule the roost! Sweet on the inside but, don't mess with them!

They're quite good at posing, since they all trust us. There can be few things more beautiful than having a prey animal like a rabbit, whose very survival depends on being afraid of everything, flopped on the kitchen floor and remain that way as you walk around them.

Lola is our OAP cat. Coming up for sixteen now, she's slowing down a fair bit, but still pads around the house, coming down every evening for cuddles. She's a daddy's girl and won't go to sleep until I come upstairs to bed, at which point she curls up next to my pillow.

Biscuit's the second oldest. She has a heart murmur, so although 'only' eight years this August, we don't know from one day to the next whether she'll still be with us. This is terrible. We know from a previous 'owner' that two of her kittens also had this heart condition, and they are both already dead. She's also the biggest and the strongest, so she goes anywhere without fear.

Then there's Maya. Our socially dysfunctional cat. :-) She'll be six this July, and doesn't get on well with the other cats but is brilliant with the rabbits - although we never leave her unattended with them, for obvious reasons.

Willow was the last one to arrive in our brood. She turned two last November, and is a bit of a psycho. We think she was possibly abused wherever she was before and escaped (she was a stray when she came to us), and was utterly terrified of humans. My wife spent countless hours just sitting quietly with her, building trust and what a difference now! She's a little flirt, and when one sits on the bed, she'll roll over and present her tummy, and then when we touch her, she'll playfully 'nip' us - never breaking the skin or even hurting. Or she'll go crazy, darting around the top floor faster than sight.

Sorry - we both have a tendency to wax eloquent when talking about our babies, who are our world. I'll shut up now. :snooze:
