The yellow rose is the rose Carol Klein planted (I can’t remember the name). ***Edit-The Poet’s Wife*** Smells beautiful when you walk past it.

The pink rose I dug up from the front outside perimeter border and put it in a pot. I’ve done this as it kept getting blackspot out in the front. It’s from david austin...Princess alexandra of kent. It smells devine and looks devine. No signs of the dreaded blackspot yet. Next year i’ll prune it into a better shape. I didnt go too mad this year after digging it up as didnt know how it would cope being moved into a pot.

 

One of last year's begonias has come back much to my surprise. I didn't see it until I cut back the long grass around the base of the summer house.


The kniphofia looks great. A fitting tribute to our cat Tommy who is buried underneath.


The sorry looking Aubrieta has taken off since I planted it out. The other two aren't doing quite so well but they are definitely still alive so there is hope there yet.

Can't remember what the blue flowered plant is (it has a label but it is raining too hard for me to go out and check!) but it has come into it's own this week, a spreading carpet of flowers that has been covered in bees.

It's beginning to outgrow its 25cm bowl and that's after I thinned it out by taking cuttings.............

Nice longk.
I think many folk fail to realise just how quickly echeverias can grow and how easy it is to propagate them. They usually survive outside down here all year round too

 

When I revamped my front yard I took these graceful beauty alium bulbs out. They are very pretty but they were lost among all the foliage of the surrounding plants. I am pleased, and somewhat suprised, that they have come out so well. Now I am going to have to find a safe place to keep them.

Sorry misnamed the apricot coloured rose - it's Buff Beauty.

 

Mine live outside too (with a couple of exceptions) but they need to be moved to sheltered staging which means pot growing. A lot of them respond to potting on and can get very big given the chance. I had an E.secunda that was almost 30cm across last year.
