Grey Wagtail in comparison to the Yellow, if you think you have seen a yellow wagtail in winter, it is a Grey, taken at the sewage works this afternoon, great place the sewage works!

There's a local Bird Club member who's always posting sightings from the local sewerage treatment works.

White Stork near Wareham one of 20 released from a rewilding site in Sussex. Appeared here this morning so I had a look this afternoon and it was still there.

I've had three to four dozen House Martins circling over my garden for most of the day. They seem to gather here this time of year, probably preparing to leave.

Just outside my office window we've reduced a Euonymous by at least 5ft in height and a few feet diameter so that the inside can now been seen easily. Once the sun is up and on it each morning it is crowded with mainly blue tits that appear to be feasting on the Euonymous scale. They seem to prefer the female scale (they're bigger and a different colour). Their actions are so fast that it's difficult to photograph them.

Although the bush is still about 6ft high and 4ft diameter, so plenty of room for the birds, they only seem to have a couple of dozen birds at a time on the plant. The others are queuing up on the roof of our bungalow (only 5ft away) or on the catenary cable very close by.

We were going to remove the bush completely as it's so badly infected but we shall leave it through the winter so they have some live food available.

Although there are about 24 Spoonbills in Poole harbour so far, only one appeared at Middlebere/Arne today and a Green Sandpiper feeding in front of the hide.

The gulls are Black Headed, the same as ours in the UK.
