Joining a Forum at this time of year when most plants have finished blooming means less images to capture so a video of blooms of late might be the best way to begin.

I have quite a few roses,..some i have names for and some were grown from cuttings where the parent bush had no name,..others were grown from seed,..then there are the ones grown from another cutting and do not resemble the parent plant nor the previous cutting,..those with names i will post later.

If we both love Cottage style gardens, Philip, then we are very much alike in the way we garden and way we respect Nature

ARMANDII,..love the crosses fingers lol,..i can see the resemblance in garden styles,..a well stocked garden there even down to the Hollyhocks,..i could live with that garden,..very nice.

I was born in a small village where the National Botanical Gardens are located,..our house was across the road looking into the rose garden,..my Dad worked there and after school i would head in there and give him a hand with his work,..i had the garden bug very early.

                        National Botanical Gardens,..were my playground.

Some of the blooms included in the videos are below.

Clivia 'Minata' common name 'Forest Lily',..'Caffre Lily',..size at present is 69cm high x 96cm wide,..this plant is mostly indoors but placed outside during Summer,..it flowers when it chooses.

Tigridia pavonia,..'Mexican Shell Flower/Tiger Flower,..it also has other names,..blooms last for one day but are replaced quickly by other blooms,..a fairly tall plant ( 1 Metre ) so needs a cane for support,..comes in reds/yellows/pinks and sometimes without markings,..easy to maintain.

Seeds can be saved and new plants grown easily.
