    Oops... just saw this.

I have just started some seeds in the paper towel soaking in a seal jar in a warm place method that was recommended by @ricky101 . I have no idea what variety they are as they were collected from volunteers in my garden last year. They were pink and smelled very pretty. :fingers crossed:

I've been on the internet looking at when to start pinching out, it seems to be after 2 full sets of leaves or 4 sets of leaves, which is best?

          Hi @mazambo ,

Think of it this way,,,,,, if you pinch at 2 sets of leaves you get 2 side shoots which will flower, if you pinch after 4 sets of leaves you get 4 side shoots which will flower.

After 4 sets equals bushier plants with more flowers :)

Some of roots of the sweet peas are through the bottom of the root trainers, I've put them all in the same stand and put them outside, I'll put them back in the greenhouse at night until my cold frame arrives.

I pinch out after 4 sets of leaves, in fact just did it a couple of days ago. I actually plant my SPs out in early April, so maybe in a week or so.
