    As title. What is the correct term for making "windows" in a hornbeam hedge? Does it still come under pleaching, or is something else used?

    Despite googling, I've not been able to find any photos, let alone what its called.

            I think the proper term for it is 'cutting a window in a hedge' :whistle:

                That would be creating a porthole aspect into the hedge.

                The ones depicted in this thread are not very creative.

                Cut one into the shape of a keyhole and name it, "What the butler saw".

                Obviously, on the other side would be a topiary naked lady.

                    I can't think of anything worse lol.. I must be getting old.
