I used my 30 year old Levington Maxi Lawn Streader with some lawn feed (can’t remember the brand) and although the particles didn’t look too big, it hardly spread at all; the spreader is not adjustable.

I still have the original box and in addition to Levington it recommends Evergreen lawn feed, but I see that that now is really Miracle-Gro.

Consequently, I wonder if anyone else has that spreader and what lawn feed you use in it.

You need to calibrate it, easy to do if it has an adjustable output. You simply drop a set amount of a set area and measure and adjust. Normally it’s 1 mtr squared area.

At the end of the first paragraph, I wrote “the spreader is not adjustable.”, how clearer could I have been?

Then it’s down to speed to see what drop rate is achievable. You calibrate with a constant speed vs drop rate. My apologies as I don’t have that much time on my hands.
