    :heehee:...:cheers:.Thanks @Sian in Belgium but it's honestly not as hard as it looks. I wait until its rained then let it soak...it's not much harder that sweeping.:dbgrtmb:

    The other two patios aren't quite so bad. Thankfully we have a couple more wet days to look forward to this coming week so I'll get them done, prefer to do it this way, we do have a large pressure washer but as I said earlier I like this 'look' better as it tends to look too clean otherwise.

                Well obviously, of course talking to them is going to make a big difference @shiney . :biggrin:

                I know Lilac as a shrub but many are allowed to grow into tree form and these are more susceptible than the shrub form.

                  Ours are all trees. We keep them topped at 10ft - 15ft by cutting them with a hedge cutter. :blue thumb:

                    Nothing today. It's rained non stop for 2 days and the forecast for the week is rain then more rain :th scifD36: in the greenhouse I have potted on some nicotana alata, phlox, evening primrose, nasturtiums and some penstemon firebird cuttings that have rooted nicely. If only the clematis cuttings were as quick :noidea:

                      Nearly forgot also did my daily search for any signs of life from our Dahlias that were left in the ground for the 2nd year running. Being such a cold and prolonged winter I do have my concerns on their survival but today I saw this....:fingers crossed::fingers crossed: I hoping these miniscule red dots are shoots. Sow more lettuce seed, check over greenhouse contents, check dahlias. Water on nematodes for slugs. Weed new bed. Plant out some of the shrubs from Pan Global Plants. Pull up rogue raspberry suckers, weed and dead head if time left.

                            @Upsydaisy
                            They look like it, especially if it was a bronze/dark leaved dahlia. You will need to keep a close eye out for slugs and snails, especially after recent rain and milder temperatures.
                            My dahlias are slowly getting going in a cold greenhouse. The only dahlia I've got in the ground outside is D imperalis hopefully there will be shoots on this by the end of the month.

                              Thanks @Nigel.....not too sure if that is the bronze leaved one or not..I do have one in the same border.:scratch:. Yes I have some protective guards ready and will place one over it today....I have certainty learned my lesson on not delaying on carrying out this gardening job!!:yikes:
