I don't have a B&Q locally, unfortunately Sittingbourne is devoid of large stores, but will have a look when I am out and about, thank you

 

Had a look in our local B&Q yesterday and they had quiet a few but most quiet big plants like the red one we bought at the top of the picture.

As you can see, we think the smaller ones can look good together in a larger pot with a decorative gravel topping.

The 'pups' pull off so easily and just need popping into say some Cactus or other sandy compost which is free draining as they do not like to be kept too wet in the winter.

Could always post you some little pups to try ....

 

Arh! That little one is so sweet @ricky101 ! I would like to have some small ones like that, certainly to get me started. Yours have lots of different textures and tones, really pretty and interesting.

Unfortunately, we don't have a B&Q nearby, but will see if we have a garden centre or nursery reasonably close (I care for a loved one, so can't leave the house for long), hopefully they will have something to get me started.

Another plant usually easy to keep and buy is the Spider plant, either straight or curly leaves, said to be good for purifying the air.
Often sold in the big supermarkets on their flower stands.

 

Yes it's a very easy plant and quite drought resistant too, and can also tolerate very low temperatures. I have several including two very big old ones, they live outside in the summer and in a perspex shelter for winter.
They look nice in hanging baskets.

I think my Nan used to grow Spider plants (and Bizzy Lizzies, got one in the garden that still doing well!) they used to be all over the place, I had forgotten about them. Will see if I can get one at Homebase or a local supermarket, thanks for the idea

We currently live in a rental place and most of the double glazing on the windows is shot, so they aren't as warm as the kitchen window where the Orchid is, so it would be nice to have some plants that don't mind being a bit chilly and bring in some lovely green
