A lot of things still in flower have been battered by the winds and looking a bit tired.
Amicia zygomeris this is still flowering and was being worked by bees this morning.

As is this prostrate rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus)

From the cold greenhouse Fuchsia paniculata

Something fresh; a freckled double hellebore. Curiously the Corsican hellebore (Helleborus argutifolius) which is normally in flower by Christmas and a favourite of bees on sunny days until Easter is still in bud.
    Double Hellebore (Freckles).JPG

This is a bit of an oddity taken a while to ripen, flowers in spring, edible? sort of; rather tasteless, flesh is thin, texture a bit like a grainy pear. Might not be full ripe, but has a split down the other side.

This must be the beginning of the worst few weeks of the year for anything flowering for me. I have a few nice decorative red rosehips, and an autumn and winter flowering white cyclamen that is flowering in its second year, started flowering about October, and has even seeded itself in unexpected places, it still has lots of flower buds on it. My nasturtiums that were bravely still flowering in late December seem to have stopped producing flowers now, but their foliage is pretty clambering through dead stalks of last year's feverfew and a drainpipe. I keep finding new shoots of various bulbs, crocus, snowdrops, hyacinths, and a few other things, though they probably won't flower for at least a month. My winter flowering violas maybe need a bit more time to settle in, hopefully they will produce more flowers in the spring.

So the most successful is the cyclamen, and the big red rosehips. I quite like the bare rosebushes in winter, and they do have snowdrop and crocus shoots beneath them.

It just shows me how important it is to have things like Cyclamen that flower in the autumn, winter and spring, to remind me of the changing seasons, and their leaves are pretty all year and don't overwhelm other plants.

Looks as though something has got at our first snowdrops
            P1530583.JPG

We have two large patches of Arum italicum but they also seem to be spreading around the garden. So those will need digging out and taking to the charity.

@shiney, you are so lucky that your primroses and snowdrops are flowering already.

The foliage ones are there all year round. :noidea:

I particularly like the multi coloured Euonymous. It's a sport that now seems to grow true. It looks lovely in flower arrangements and door wreaths.

I've got that Euonymous @shiney , mine does the same.
I think the red appears as the days get colder.
