    Evening Mods,

Im looking for a thread where Victoria ID'd a jasmine for me. Its definitely over a year old.

Ive used multiple search combinations but nothing :(

Might tagged threads help with searching? If it helps I dont recall having this problem pre- site update...

      Ahem! Thanks JWK!

Yes, Im sure it took you forever to locate the thread. Tireless, exhaustive searching. _cough_

Can you hear that? Its the sound of me desperately trying and failing to stop from looking like an incompetent boob! :D

      I swear I searched! I really did!

Actually Im not sure if that doesnt make it worse!

Don't fret Melinda, I wasn't trying to make you feel bad :) The search facility doesn't seem to pick up the old threads from before the forum software changed and I've had trouble finding stuff I posted previously, so I've used that method a few times, I'm sure there are other ways too. Glad you found it anyway.

        Given JWK's Link I tried a Search.

Using words that are in the post, such as "Climbers" and explicitly setting the User to "Melinda", the SEARCH had no trouble finding it.

But trying, for example, "climber" [singular] it didn't find it.

Oh dear. I searched for multiple items within the same field, with a comma as separator.

Combinations of: Victoria, climber, jasmine, Portugal. With user setting set to both me and Victoria.

Then I went of at a tangent and thought maybe it wasnt Victoria at all, and so searched for Victoria PLum, jasmine, Portugal and it all went rapidly down hill from there.

There just isn an embarrassed smiley big enough!

I did try Google, but that didn't find it - probably still confused from the change of software.

        site:gardenerscorner.co.uk KeyWord1 KeyWord2

will search google only for pages on this site, which might perhaps help in future.
