hiya just started doing a blog mainly about the garden also house diyas it arises and just general ramblings, very basic at the mo, hopefully it will look better once i get some pics up too feel free to have a nose and post a comment good or bad Kaz's Place
more pictures that I :yess: A) took myself B) uploaded to laptop myself C) managed to post to my blog got a headache now http://chittingkaz.blogspot.com/
Blimey, got your work cut out there Kaz. Good set of pics Consider the use of Geotextile for the bits you can't get done straight away.
i was going to use DPM that i have spare, would that be ok ? i know that i would be able to use Geotex again but am trying to save some pennies, i know he has said that he will get what is needed but i think making raised beds and tools(no way i am taking mine up there as i will still be doing stuff in my garden) are more essential and i dont want to scare him off !!!
There's a lot to do Kaz, but it's not all weeds, plus you have some kale or cabbages at one end and a few onions so it's a start Just take your time and do a little bit at a time.
unfortunatly they being to others that were using his plot ! i have spied some fruit bushes and a rhubarb crown and about half a dozen leeks that did grow oh and some comfrey (not that i know what to do with that yet )
Comfrey is good When it makes a nice crop of leaves cut it down and stick it in a bucket (or water-butt) and cover with water, and maybe put a board and a couple of bricks on the top. After a couple of weeks it will stink (no ... trust me ... it will REALLY stink!), that's how you know that it is ready Dilute down to the colour of weak tea and water onto plants that are flowering / fruiting. Free Potash fertilizer :thumb: Hopefully its the Bocking 14 (sterile) variety - otherwise it will be inclined to self-seed all over the plot.
