    Following on from the longest surviving members thread, I thought it might be a laugh to put your first post in this thread.

    Excluding the introduction one.

    If we made no other comments it would read like a really bad game of "Consequences":heehee:

    Bloomin heck, not seen rat tailed maggots like that outside of a pond. Like the littlegardeners said, check your drainage.

        Hi Spruce, you'll need some idea what it was, the date you get from your join date & then play around with the advanced search facility, took me a few minutes:thumbsup:

        my first post was in the "mystery object" section and I remember it was a rusty something to identify and I said that it was something from the titanic, I can't be sure what.

          I created a Google Custom search which should allow more refined searching of the site. Here's the code if anyone wants to add it.

          If not stick it in file 13 :)

          Code:
          <div id="cse" style="width: 100%;">Loading</div>
          <script src="http://www.google.co.uk/jsapi" type="text/javascript"></script>
          <script type="text/javascript">
            google.load('search', '1', {language : 'en'});
            google.setOnLoadCallback(function() {
              var customSearchOptions = {};  var customSearchControl = new google.search.CustomSearchControl(
                '007238307261152183210:kiilqn4wwlk', customSearchOptions);
              customSearchControl.setResultSetSize(google.search.Search.FILTERED_CSE_RESULTSET);
              customSearchControl.draw('cse');
            }, true);
          </script>
          <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.google.com/cse/style/look/default.css" type="text/css" />

          Edit.

          Here; http://www.google.co.uk/cse/home?cx=007238307261152183210:kiilqn4wwlk

          2nd Edit. Looks like I'll have to fiddle a bit more when I'm awake next as at the moment it's pretty treetreetreetree.

              This was my first post:-

              "Hi everyone
              I'm a new member and I have a question about composting. Recently, many local authorities have stopped taking shredded paper for recycling (they take paper that is not shredded). They say that the shredded paper can be composted with normal garden waste.

              If I do put it in my compost heaps will this then make my compost 'non-organic' because of the print inks on the paper and could the chemicals in the ink affect my vegetables?

              although a new member, we have been totally organic for over 20 years. "

              It only took a few seconds to find it.

              Advanced search:-
              Put in 'User name'
              Finder posts by user
              Leave 'search by keywords' empty
              Then under 'Search Options' use the dropdowns thus:-
              At Least
              0 Replies
              A year ago
              and older
              Last posting date
              Ascending order
              Then tick 'posts'
              Then click 'Search Now'
