    Hi,

I am desperately on my personal quest for seeds of the following plants:
    - Tricyrtis hirta
    - Stevia rebaudiana
    - Fevergrass (Lemongrass)
    - Jambu (Brazil)
    - Jabuticaba Tree (Brazil)
    - all sort of Berries, incl. exotic ones
    - Hazelnuts and other nuts
    - Dionea and other carnivorous plants
    - Lithops (Living Stones)
    - Vanilla (bean fruit of the Vanilla orchid)
    - and the brand-new Pineberry

and also a used (but functioning) garden tag printer (plastic tags).

Who could assist with one of these things? Thanks.

Hi Sven, you have got some unusual seed wants there.... I cannot help you I am afraid, but have often wondered what a Vanilla plant would be like to grow.. The only place I know where one can get the plants is here.. http://www.easyorchids.co.uk/shop/Vanilla-planifolia-SKU4212.html
but growing from seed is nearly impossible for us..
        and......
So I hope that helps & good luck on your seed hunt..

The idea is good - I would love to grow a vanilla orchid! But sending to JM? Not sure if it would arrive. Also, I confess that I am one of the very few living beings, who does not have a credit card, ha ha ha! If they would accept a bank transfer, fine with me.

But what about all the other plants?

Stevia is increasingly widely available. Currently its on eBay and in Nicky's Nursery.

As for the no credit card issue, you can get prepaid Visa cards now from many of the big name banks. I don't know how you go about getting one because I've never had the need, but I guess you could give the money to someone who has a credit/debit card and get them to buy the card for you, or maybe the banks that sell them will take the money by other means.

        Hi Jack,

thanks for the answer. But ... if you live in Jamaica, things are not so easy: I don't have a credit card, and in addition, PayPal is not supporting any Jamaican bank, only banks in Europe and USA/Canada, and maybe some Asian banks. Try by yourself: register an account with PP using a Jamaican location, and then you ncan see that Jamaican banks are not supported.

That is the reason, why I hope for a seed exchange here in this forum. I have many interesting seeds to offer, too.

Hi Hirnsausen , has we are killing ourself over here to grow tropical plant in summer , I`ve notice that many plants in your list will not grow in Jamaica as they need temperate climate , Tricyrtis hirta , hazelnut and pineberry (seen them on sale but not sure if the fruit seed is a true species seed) , lemon grass is available from supermarket but not seeds , same story with carnivore as much as they look tropical plants many carnivore need cold .
I had some Jambu seeds , but really don`t know what uppen to them , got them from thailand along with snake palm .

          Hi Ziggy and Sal73,

great news! Thanks. Parsley: sure, please send the seeds. Do you still have my address?

Sal, temperate climate: no problem, I can adjust the environment in my greenhouse. Do you have any of the seeds and can send them?

GCC, thanks for that Hug Monster link. Interesting. I never signed up with them, nor is my age 16. I am 44. :-)

Seems, someone took one of my online IDs (Hirnsausen) and used it without asking me or even just informing. I might follow up the events on that strange website.

          Thanks again for this link.

Not got you address anymore, if I have its several thousands of pm's back. Lob it at me & i'll see what else I can find. Are there any restrictions on sending seeds to Jamaica?

          My pleasure.
          I couldn't see an 18year old founding a 40 year old organisation.
          Apologies for the query.
