    Dear Webmaster,
I am NOT a grumpy old woman by nature but, every morning I log on, find AND welcome new viewers to GC - and take a glance at the donations £ amount. Sadly, it seems not to have moved from £40 in the last week. Surely, one or two of these "can I tap your knowledge " wallahs must have a bit of a conscience??

To be fair, Jenny, the site is here for all to use with no pressure to pay anything. :love30: :dbgrtmb:

Although I understand your point, I'm happy to see an occasional reminder but don't really wish to see any pressure (conscience) applied. It's quite possible that someone comes on here, asks a question, gets some answers, gives thanks and then applies the info - and waits to see whether it has worked.

It's good if they donate but not bad if they don't. :)

The donation box doesn't show the cheques & luncheon vouchers that are sent in too.

Last week we got tickets to see The Hoosiers too:dbgrtmb:

Like the time you told someone the best way of getting rid of greenfly on roses was with a blowlamp?

Is paypal the only way to make a donation, or is there any other option?

We can take Cheques, Postal Orders, Travellers Cheques, Bankers Drafts & all major currencies except new Drachmas.

Food and seed parcels are also welcome, and Armandii is quite partial to Hobnobs.

Just pm me for details if you are kind enough to donate:dbgrtmb:

Greece will have little choice but to withdraw from the euro, when they print the new Drachma it will start off at a 1 euro = 1 Drachma but will immediately plummet in value.

The resulting panic on the banks will force them to close for some days to stop everyone withdrawing everything, the financial repercussions will cost the rest of Europe at least One Trillion Euros, so it would be better for all of europe to put its hands in its pockets before it happens, have a whip round & give Greece Half a Trillion euros right now with no strings attached.

Then Greece could get back on its feet, we ( the rest of Europe) could go there for a holiday, secure in the knowledge that there would be no more riots or austerity. We'd spend money, Greece will be back in the Economy & we'll have saved half a Trillion Euros.

I may get shot down by some of you for saying this but, IMHO, the likes of Greece prefers to spend most of its time lying down as opposed to being "back on its feet".

Greece was the cradle of civilised Europe. They introduced Democracy to the World, Demos-People, Kratos-Power.

They built a civilisation fueled by Olive Oil, became masters of the Sea, Art, Liturature & Science.

Will the rest of Europe stand by & let them flounder?

As I posted in one of Dims conspiracy sites/posts
Our local paper mill provides the special paper for printing bank notes and they have all been called in for overtime again, first time in Months
