Garden update

The garden has come on loads lately, many of the plants are loving the wet weather although some are delayed a bit due to the cool weather too.

Very lush Gaz , is that a Chamaedora Radicalis in the foreground in the fourth pic?

 

Well spotted... its kept in a pot and moves into the jungle hut you can see at the back (a big shed a former owner of our house built as a workshop, so its insulated and double glazed - a great place to overwinter borderline plants)

 

brilliant gaz you wouldnt think it was bedfordshire!

 

I know some have planted it outside but it's a bit risky. My Chamy Metallica would make a nice outdoor specimen but I'd never chance it.

You've got a lot of growth on the Spiders Web . I have six new leaves on my newly planted Fatsia Jap Var and every one is GREEN. .

 

Gaz - that's brilliant.

That's how a garden should be - total immersion and total escape. You could be anywhere in the world in there.

 

I'm still waiting to see the Koi pond which could double as a swimming pool.

 

Me too strongy do you have a travellers palm gaz or is it not hot enough here for one x

 

Superb garden Gaz , the hut looks really effective You can almost hear the jungle in them pics !

 

Sadly not hot enough. We do have a few more tender palms that come in for winter, but space for big plants is limited

 

Its nearly there, not quite finished yet, wet weather has slowed us down

 

Spiders web seems quite variable we have another with about 6 leaves in total. never grows!

Cham, Metalica is a lovely plant, we have one as a house plant

 

If I see any Ravenala (travellers palms), on our hols (soon) I'll look for seeds
I grew one once at work but it outgrew the glasshouse and I chopped it down.
